Wings of Support is een initiatief van vliegend personeel van de KLM, sinds 5 september 2005, is ook het personeel van Martinair onderdeel van de stichting.
Getracht wordt kinderen in landen waar de KLM en Martinair op vliegen te helpen aan onderdak en onderwijs. Door de aard van het werk komt het vliegend personeel in veel landen, zo kan een project maximaal bezocht worden, zowel door mensen van Wings of Support als geinteresseerde donateurs.
Wings of Support ontvangt tegenwoordig ook steun van verschillende bedrijven en particulieren buiten de KLM. |

The foundation "Wings of Support" is a private initiative by KLM staff, however from september 5th 2005, Martinair is also a part of our foundation. The reason for the existence of Wings of support is that many crew members are confronted with poverty all over the world during their layovers. Often they feel helpless and want to take part in improving the lives of the children they are confronted with. Often individual crew members cannot help, whereas Wings of Support can. Every crewmember encountering potential projects to be supported can report this back in the Netherlands, Wings of Support will take over and investigates the project. Once adopted the project can be visited by all crewmembers having a layover near the project, thus continuously checking its progress.
